Sheriff Kevin S. Hoch has proudly served the citizens of Antrim County since 1996. Sheriff Hoch has served as a Corrections Deputy, Road Patrol Deputy, Detective, Road Patrol Division Sergeant, Accident Investigations Supervisor, Field Training supervisor, Administrative Sergeant and Undersheriff.
Hoch was a Marine Deputy with the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office and a Patrol Officer with the Mancelona Police Department. Hoch has held positions as Team Leader of the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Dive Team and attended the basic investigators school with Michigan State Police Academy and graduated from the School of police Staff and Command class # 451. Hoch has an Associate Degree from Northwestern Michigan College. Sheriff Hoch was appointed as Sheriff on September 8, 2023 upon the retirement of Sheriff Daniel S. Bean.
Sheriff Hoch was awarded the Deputy of the Year award in 2006 and awarded the Excellence in Service Award from the Women’s Resource Center in 2022.
