Sheriff Mosciski hired on to the Arenac County Sheriff’s Department in 1974 and has worked every position at the department from dispatch, corrections, patrol, detective, until being appointed Sheriff in 1983.
Sheriff Mosciski attended Delta College, and was one of the first Deputies to attend a formal police academy. He also received advanced criminal investigations trainings. Sheriff Mosciski began the first department dive team, drug investigation team, brought in Dare, K-9.
This year marks 30 years in office as Sheriff, and 39 years on the department.
