Sheriff Fred Blankenship began his career at the Branch County Sheriff’s Office in June 1995 and has worked various positions within patrol, corrections, court transport security, investigations, and supervision. Sheriff Blankenship served over 20 years as Jail Administrator before being elected Sheriff. He is a 1994 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
