Sheriff Clinton D. Roach started his career with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office in 1993. During his career with the Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Roach has worked as the Road Patrol, Felony Detective, Narcotics Detective with the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team (CCDET), and with the Southwest Enforcement team (SWET). Sheriff Roach was also assigned to the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and was assigned to the St. Joseph FBI office as a Task Force Investigator. Sheriff Roach has also been the Marine Commander.
Before taking Office on January 1, 2025, Sheriff Roach served as Undersheriff from 2017 through 2024. Sheriff Roach graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1984 and graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College Academy in 1989. He also graduated from Michigan Police Executive Development Seminar (MPEDS), FBI Leeda Trilogy, and the Northwestern University Staff and Command.
Sheriff Roach is a lifelong resident of Cass County where he lives with his wife Nanette, who he has been married to for 39 years. He has two children and three grandchildren.
