Ionia County Sheriff Charlie Noll is one of the newest Sheriffs in Michigan, but has a lifetime of service in law enforcement. Sheriff Noll took the oath of office on December 7th, to lead the team of approx. 90 personnel and serve as the 41st Sheriff in the history of Ionia County.

Beginning as a Road Patrol Deputy, he has served Ionia Co for over 22 years and steadily advanced through the leadership ranks. Sheriff Noll has worked in the Detective Bureau, as SWAT Team Commander, supervisor of the CMET Drug Task Force Team and was appointed Undersheriff in 2013. Sheriff Noll is a graduate of Western Michigan University and the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwest University.
