Sheriff Matt Nowicki graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University in 1990. He has served as a Corrections Officer, Marine Safety Deputy, Snowmobile Safety Deputy and Road Patrol Deputy. From 1998-2008 Sheriff Nowicki was a member of the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task Force Emergency Response Team where he served as a tactical operator and also as the tactical team leader. Sheriff Nowicki began his term as Otsego County Sheriff on January 1, 2013.
