Sheriff Ryan Robinson graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He attended the police academy at Delta College. His law enforcement career began at the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 working as a Corrections Deputy. In 2009, he moved to the Road Patrol and became a Field Training Officer and K9 Handler. In 2020, Robinson was promoted to Road Patrol Sergeant and supervised the FTO program. He was elected Sheriff in 2024 after Glen Skrent announced his retirement.
